Gameplan Sports Private Limited was established in 1998 at a time when sports marketing was a nascent industry in India. Over the last 27 years Gameplan has worked with sponsorship, in-stadia advertising, player management, franchise leagues including Indian Premier League, Indian Super League and Pro Kabaddi League. Gameplan has been associated with Kolkata Knight Riders since the inception of IPL in 2008. In 2018, Gameplan started and introduced Tata Steel Chess India which has since become India’s foremost chess event and also the first to offer equal prize money in the open and women’s competition and also the first to offer equal prize money in the open and women’s competition. The company has also worked with content management and digital marketing, among other verticals in sports.

In 2012 we diversified in arts and culture based events. The Kolkata Literary Meet is now one of India’s foremost culture events. Gameplan Foundation is responsible for organising Bengal’s first ever Biennale and the second biggest Biennale of India which took place from Nov 2024 to Jan 2025. We have also commissioned films for the pioneering Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films, besides curating cultural events in classical music and art.
