Less than a year after its birth, during the 1999 ICC World Cup, Gameplan made its presence felt in media circles by bringing some of the biggest names in sport to the drawing rooms of readers in the subcontinent, West Asia and Great Britain through syndicated columns. Several corporate houses gained immense mileage by getting their logos positioned prominently within these columns — and therefore into the sports pages — of many of the most widely-circulated publications in the country.
